Getting rupia on your phone
We offer three ways to access rupia on mobile: download our Android APK, use Safari or Chrome on your iPhone, or play via your browser on any Android or iOS device. Each path has the same account, the same games (football betting on Liga 1 and Piala AFF, live blackjack and roulette, slots like Aviator and Sweet Bonanza, esports markets), and the same payment rails.
Three paths to rupia on mobile
Android APK: Direct download from our site, no app store. iOS browser: Open Safari and visit rupia.org, bookmark it for quick access. Mobile web: Any Android or iOS browser opens our responsive site automatically.
Android APK installation
Our Android APK is a direct install file you download and run on your phone. We do not use the Google Play Store, so you manage the installation yourself. This gives you full control and lets us update features without app-store review delays. First, ensure your phone allows installation from unknown sources (this is a security setting, not a rupia-specific permission). In your Android settings, find "Install unknown apps" or "Unknown sources" and enable it for your browser. Then visit our rupia download page, tap the Android button, and your phone downloads the APK file. Open your file manager, find the rupia APK, tap it, and follow the on-screen prompts to install.
Once installed, the rupia app icon appears on your home screen. Tap it to open, then log in with your username and password (or create a new account). Your phone may ask for permissions — camera (for KYC photo verification), microphone (for live-dealer table chat), and location (optional, for regional content). Grant the permissions you need; you can change them anytime in your phone's settings. The app will sync your account in seconds.

iOS browser access
iPhone and iPad users do not need an app download. Instead, open Safari (or Chrome) and go to rupia.org. Our mobile site automatically detects your iOS device and displays a responsive layout optimized for your screen size. Tap the share icon in Safari and select "Add to Home Screen" — this creates a bookmark that opens rupia instantly from your home screen, feeling much like an app. Your account, balance, and transaction history are exactly the same as on Android or desktop.
iOS does not allow direct APK installation the way Android does, so the browser method is our recommended path for Apple devices. You get all the same features: Liga 1 betting, live roulette and blackjack, Aviator and Sweet Bonanza slots, and subject to verification via DANA or e-wallet. Your iOS browser also supports push notifications if you enable them in Safari settings, so you receive alerts for match results and withdrawal confirmations.
Mobile browser vs. Android app: which is right for you?
Both the rupia Android app and mobile browser offer the full platform — same games, same payments, same account. The app has a small advantage: it can cache some game data locally, so load times are marginally faster on slower connections, and you can play offline for a moment before syncing. The browser works everywhere without installation and updates automatically. If you have an older Android phone (version 5 or 6) and cannot install the APK, the browser is your backup. For most users in Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, and Medan, the Android app provides a slightly smoother experience; iOS users get a seamless browser experience that feels native.
Device compatibility
Our Android app works on devices running Android 7.0 and above. Most phones sold in the last five years support this. Our mobile browser (iOS and Android) works on iOS 12+ and any Android browser (Chrome, Firefox, Samsung Internet, etc.). If your phone is older than 2018 or running a very old Android version, the browser is your best option — it requires fewer system resources than the app. We test rupia on a range of devices and screen sizes, from small 5-inch phones to large 7-inch tablets.
Common setup questions
If your Android phone says "This type of file cannot be opened" when you try to install the APK, check that you enabled "Install unknown apps" in Settings. If you see a certificate warning, this is normal for direct APK downloads — our certificate is valid, and you can proceed. If the rupia app crashes on launch, try restarting your phone and clearing your app cache (in Settings → Apps → rupia → Storage → Clear cache). If you forget your password, tap the "Forgot password" link on the login screen; we will send a reset link to your email, and you can set a new password within minutes. If you lose access to your registered email or phone number, contact our support team through the in-app help menu — we verify your identity via KYC documents and help you recover your account.
Data, permissions, and account security
When you install the rupia app or use our mobile site, we ask for specific permissions: camera access (to verify your identity during KYC sign-up), microphone (for live-dealer tables where you can chat), and location (optional, to show regional tournaments like Piala Indonesia and Liga 1 matches). You control these in your phone settings and can revoke them anytime. Our app and site use SSL encryption to protect your login credentials and payment information. Your account balance, deposit and withdrawal history, and personal data are encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not sell your data, and we comply with KYC and anti-money-laundering regulations. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately and contact our support team. We can freeze your account pending investigation.
